Technical Bid Engineer EMEA
SBU MED, TSS, Product Management, Technical Sales Support, EMEA, Southern Hub

We are now looking for someone who will be assigned to a number of sales projects across EMEA region but mainly focused on the Mediterranean, Africa and the Middle Eastern countries depending on the workload and priorities. He is expected to lead a team of people on a project basis and will be the link between the Local Sales organization and the TSS (Technology & Service Solutions) for general technical matters.

Responsibilities
1. The Technical Bid Engineer EMEA role is a highly diversified role that requires solid technical skills as well as a strong commercial insight. You will be part of a highly qualified team of experts to support you throughout the process however you will be the leader and you will be expected to act accordingly. Your main responsibilities in the job as a Technical Bid Engineer EMEA will be to:
2. Ensure correct responses to customer requirements on time.
3. Prepare clarifications and deviations to tenders issued from our customers.
4. Lead technical negotiations together with Sales Managers and with customers and their representatives.
5. Keep a continuous track of the local rules and legislations.
6. Act as the "Voice of the Customers" inside the organization in order to secure that what Vestas is offering fits with the local constraints.

Qualifications
* Engineering background (Electrical, Mechanical or similar) combined with commercial insight/interest. Preferably you have some commercial training.
* Previous experience of 1-3 years in wind energy is a plus or commercial background with a strong interest and understanding of technical aspects.
* Previous international experience is a plus.

Competencies
* Solid understanding of the market, customer business case and sales perspective in general and the ability to combine this knowledge with the technical insight you possess ensuring that we deliver what the market requires without inflicting with our technical offerings on the various turbine platforms.
* Strong coordination ability. You must be able to act as a team player between the Sales, Legal and Technology departments.
* Solid language skills, French and English is a must, any other EU languages are a plus.
* High level of assertiveness.
* High degree of flexibility.
* Used to working in high "intensity" environments.
* FIDIC contractual knowledge is a plus.
* Team player.

Additional information
The primary work location is Madrid. A certain amount of travel must be expected (about 50 days of travel expected per year).
