INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON SOILS, SEDIMENTS AND WATER

The annual Conference on Contaminated Soils atthe University of Massachusetts at Amherst has become the preeminent technicalnational conference in this important environmental area. The conference attracts approximately 700 –800 attendees annually from across the United States as well as from Canada andother foreign countries. Attendees includea wide variety of representation from state and federal agencies; military; industries including railroad,petroleum, transportation, utilities; the environmental engineering andconsulting community; and academia.

This year’s conference promises to be anexciting opportunity for all those concerned with the challenge of developingcreative, cost-effective assessments and solutions that can withstand thedemands of regulatory requirements. There will be a strong and diverse technical program in concert with avariety of educational opportunities available to attendees. The exhibition section brings the real-worldapplication to the technical theory and case studies, which will be presentedin the platform and poster sessions. Focused workshops will provide attendees with the type of practicalapplication information, which will impact their job performance immediately.
