How European cooperation will pave the way for an easier Hydrogen implementation

Conférence réservée aux professionnels / Lieu : En ligne - France
Speakers:
* Colette Lewiner, Senior Energy Advisor for Capgemini Chairman
* Dominique Mockly, CEO @ Teréga
* Cas König, CEO @ Groningen Seaports NV
* Arnaud de Moissac, Co-founder @ DCbrain

Hydrogen is a key clean technology, essential to the 2050 climate neutrality goal of the European Green Deal.

It’s not a secret, if we talk so much about Hydrogen nowadays, it’s because it does not directly emit CO² and does not pollute the atmosphere.

In addition, it has many uses: It can be a feedstock, a fuel or an energy carrier and storage. It can be used in the industry, transport, power and building sectors.

We are happy to welcome Colette Lewiner on this occasion to bring us her energy expertise as an introduction to our online conference.

The hydrogen transition is made step by step, simply because lots of factors are to be taken into consideration. Hydrogen is indeed a highly flammable gas, it thus requires appropriate infractures and management. Furthermore, different types of hydrogen exist from which the price and emission differ. The goal is obviously, in the future, to only use renewable hydrogen.

Teréga is a major player in gas transportation and storage infrastrures. Their implication in hydrogen meets their desire to make gas a boost of the energy transition. Moreover, Teréga is part of the European Backbone Plan with 10 other gas infrastructure companies. Their research consisted of finding how a dedicated hydrogen infrastructure could be created. It's proof that european cooperation, within countries and companies, could accelerate the transition. We're lucky to have Dominique Mockly, CEO of Teréga, as a speaker. He will go into more detail about these projects.

Cas König, CEO of Groningen Seaports, will be sharing many insights on NORTH2, the largest hydrogen project in Europe, that will have an impact well beyond Groningen, a city close to the famous Slochteren natural gas field that will be discontinued in 2022.

Arnaud de Moissac, Co-founder of DCbrain, will explain how DCbrain will support players in the hydrogen transition thanks to data and AI.
