INTERCARBON - 2nd Congress for Emissions Trading and Renewable Climate Protection Projects
The negotiations at the 2005 Climate Protection Conference in Montreal set a new precendent for green house gas emission, exceeding the measures mandated by the 1997 Kyoto Protocol.
As the Environmental Minister Sigmar Gabriel opines, the ratification of the Kyoto Protocol and the elongation of the measures to 2012 will stimulate long-term investments in environmental protection and a modernisation of economics.
INTERCARBON 2006 unites international players from the renewable energy industry with service providers and project developers from the international emissions trading industry in order to strengthen export opportunities and the market position of German companies as well as the new emissions certificate trading, a new financing instrument which incites technology transfer.
