World Water Forum, Alpine Lakes – Protecting and Sharing Water Resource

Conférence réservée aux professionnels / Gratuit
Lieu : Marseille (13) - France
As part of a day-long technical event dedicated to mountainous areas, scientists, territorial stakeholders and lake managers would like to present their solutions and compare them with other experiences elsewhere in the world.
This is a unique occasion to discover and contribute to a European platform for “solutions” tackling issues as sensitive as water quality, managing conflicts between different uses, or even spatial planning.

Mountainous areas are often thought of
as “water towers” for the surrounding areas.
They are simultaneously subjected to the effects of climate change
and pressures from human activity concerning the
distribution of water resources.

So as to safeguard the quality of this “common heritage”
and to encourage greater solidarity in terms of
managing this resource, the different stakeholders of the Alpine arc
have developed a number of innovative instruments.
