Energy Day in the Sustainable Energy Week, Tuesday 14th of June 2016 in Brussels

The event draws conclusions from the E-Mobility Works project, which developed municipal e-mobility action plans. These plans included close cooperation between the municipality, businesses and stakeholders in their delivery and construction.

Stakeholders in the plans included energy supply companies, car-sharing providers, charging station providers, local banks, etc. Included in the plans were cost-benefit analyses of different vehicles, the use of subsidies, test events for decision-makers and fleet managers, internal procurement rules for vehicles and energy supply and information days for employees and the general public.

The aim of the plan was to deliver new decision-making processes in municipalities and businesses to cover e-mobility needs and to develop a three stage approach in the development of e-mobility initiatives: testing, evaluating and standardising.

The Conference is an Energy Day and so part of the EU’s Sustainable Energy Week. The conference will:

• Outline the key results from the project
• Describe the electro-mobility policy of the EU Institutions
• Look at the future of electro-mobility in cities
